Member for North Sydney, Trent Zimmerman, has today announced federal funding to honour local servicemen and women, under the Australian Government’s Saluting Their Service grants program.

Mr Zimmerman said the North Sydney RSL Sub-Branch will receive $4,000 in funding to help in the restoration of the Northbridge War Memorial on Sailors Bay Road.

“This grant will help ensure that this memorial, first established in 1954 by the Northbridge RSL Sub-Branch, is maintained in a way that befits the gratitude of the community for these loved residents who served in Australia’s defence.

“The dedication and hard work of organisations such as the North Sydney RSL Sub-Branch ensures communities like ours can preserve our local wartime history for future generations,” Mr Zimmerman said.
